Resources: Salary Guides
It can be tough to understand the common salary ranges for Community Manager roles. The industry in Australia has been evolving. With some roles heavily focused on managing communities on social media, to building communities from scratch for businesses both online and in person.
We've been hearing many questions about what the common salary ranges for community-focused roles are based on experience, seniority and responsibilities. So here are some great reports to help you gain more clarity:
π΅ 2022 ACM State of Community Management Report (Australia) Launched in 2015, this annual report captures data from 117 community builders in 2022 to understand the state of online community management in Australasia. The report includes salary indicators, common titles, sectors, trends, tools and much more.
π΅ 2022 CMX Community Industry Global Report (America) A worldwide survey about the community industry, packed with trends, benchmarks, salary data and more.
π΅ 2022/23 Think and Grow Australian Start-Up Salary Guide (Australia) A great report aimed at providing the Australian start-up community with transparency around salaries, capturing the evolution of the ecosystem over the last 12 months. Thereβs less focus on community roles here, but great for insights into other roles in our home country.
