Hey there! 👋
I'm Liz, the new Partnerships Lead at The Community Collective. I get to look after this newsletter and all things related to Recruitment & Partnerships from here on out.

Since this is my first time reaching out through our newsletter, I wanted to say a quick hello and give you a little insight into what I do…
Our mission is to lead a global movement that champions community building as a top business strategy. A big part of my role is forging strategic partnerships with like-minded organisations to help our amazing community members (that’s you!) enjoy more benefits like scholarships to the Cohort and/or landing dream roles in companies that share our values.

Feel free to connect with me here, and if you have any thoughts or suggestions for the newsletter, just hit reply—I’m all ears and eager to hear from you! 🫶

Alrighty let’s jump in.
Hot tip: if this email gets clipped by gmail, read the full edition here.

Lots of big things happening!

The start of May brings a very special event in the Australian startup calendar - Blackbird’s Sunrise. As proud community partners, we couldn’t be more excited about this “startup festival” taking place over the next couple of days in Sydney. Read all about our favourite Blackbird Sunrise activities here.

Come say hi to some of our team if you’re at Sunrise!

Cohort #4 is also now in full swing. We’ve been deep diving into everything from how to approach articulating your community vision and values, to how to build your community and measure its impact well.

In other BIG news, you’ll also find the celebration post about our wonderful new Cohort Lead and startup and community building legend, Jess Walker joining our team.

And, as usual, this newsletter includes the hottest jobs and events coming up in the community & startup space, behind the scenes in The CC world as well as diving into our Coffee Corner interview with the one and only Startmate and PuddlePod founder, Michael Batko.

Do you want to make us smile? Great. Add a welcome message for our new Cohort Lead. Thanks a million 🧡
